How to Make Restaurant Style Pasta At Home?

Have you ever tasted a forkful of pasta at the restaurant and wondered why they are so much rich and velvety than the one that you prepare at home? Well, one of the reasons is chef always add more butter, milk, or cheese than you'd ever dream about while making pasta. But there are many other techniques as well. So, if you too want to prepare a restaurant-style pasta, then besides buying pasta from the best pasta company in India, you should also focus on the following clever cooking techniques. Want to know what they are? Have a look!

Technique 1 - Never Cook the Pasta in Advance

How many of you boil the pasta and drain the water before your sauce is done?

Well, this should not be done because the starchy liquid locked inside cooked pasta works as major cream magic when you’ll mix it with pasta sauce instantly after rinsing.

But, when you cook the past in advance and let it dry for a couple of minutes, then all its moisture starts evaporating and the pasta becomes really dry. This is the reason why your pasta doesn’t taste creamy and velvety like restaurant-style.

Technique 2 - Finish Cooking Your Pasta in the Sauce

As soon as you rinse, add the pasta directly to the pan, mix the sauce, and pour the pasta continuously over high heat for 2-3 minutes. This way your pasta will start absorbing the flavours of the sauce, and also unlocks the starch within the pasta, resulting in a smoother and creamier texture.

Technique 3 - Save Some Pasta Cooking Water

Never ever try to pour all of the pasta stuff down the drain. Pasta generally releases starch when you boil it and that starchy liquid plays a vital role in allowing your sauce to stick to the pasta. The creaminess is down to the emulsion of water, fat, & starch and one can reduce the fat by getting the extra starch.

Apart from this, you should also reserve about a cup of the pasta cooking liquid. Also, add a cup of water as soon as you mix the pasta with the sauce and let it cook for 2-3 minutes to thicken up. If the pasta looks dry, then add one more 1/4 cup of water and let it cook until the sauce reaches the consistency you’ve been looking for.

BONUS TIP - Add Some Cheese At the End

As soon as the pasta is cooked, people instantly add cheese so that it gets melted and make the pasta creamier. Right?

Actually, not! Because doing so will make your pasta sauce little oily. So, it is better to let your pasta cool down for at least 20-30 seconds, then sprinkle some cheese on the top and stir it.

Yeah!!! Finally, your creamy restaurant-style pasta is all set to go…

With these aforementioned techniques, you will surely end up making a restaurant-style pasta. And, if you tend to eat pasta every week, then it is better to buy whole wheat pasta online India as it is healthier and packed with nutrients like carbs, protein, fibre, iron, etc., and also help you make your pasta tastier and velvety like never before.
